25 | On 5/27/22 at 12:10pm, an annual required inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Emilia Grisak. At 12:40pm tthe home was toured inside and outside. The licensee and assistant were supervising six children, and operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. The facility’s operating hours are 6:30am - 5:30pm, Monday–Friday. The floor plan submitted by the licensee was reviewed and verified. The off-limits areas of the home are the laundry room and three bedrooms, and were made inaccessible by door latches. There is also an outdoor locked shed which is inaccessible to children. The children use the back yard as the outdoor play area and it is fully fenced. There were no pools or other bodies of water observed in the yard.
Six children's records were reviewed at 12:15pm. Two staff records were reviewed at 12:30pm.
There are currently two adults living in the home. The Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
There are no infants currently enrolled but LPA advised licensee of the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. |
