A follow-up unannounced complaint investigation inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kirk Marks on 11/19/2021 at 11:30am for the purpose of delivering complaint findings. It was alleged that licensee did not notify parents of children in care of an individual at the home testing positive for COVID-19. Licensee was interviewed on 9/15/2021 at 11:00am and licensee stated that parents were made aware of the individual testing positive. LPA conducted telephone interviews with seven parents (P1 – P7) of children enrolled at the family child care home. All seven parents stated they were informed by licensee of a COVID exposure or a positive test result. Through interviews conducted LPA was not able to determine that licensee failed to notify parents of a positive COVID-19 test of an individual at the home. The agency has investigated the complaint alleging parents were not properly notified of a positive COVID test. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the allegation violation occurred, and the findings are unsubstantiated. An exit interview was conducted.
