On 07/02/26, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Dana Santiago and Nicole Reynoso conducted an unannounced Subsequent Complaint Investigation at The Lake School. LPAs met with Director Awa Gaye and explained the purpose of today’s inspection. During today's inspection, there were 14 preschool children in care with 5 staff with director on site. Director stated there are currently 23 preschool children enrolled. The finding for the above allegation was delivered during the inspection. Complainant alleges that Staff communicate inappropriately to daycare children. During the course of the investigation LPAs completed a physical plant inspection, reviewed facility records and conducted interviews. At this time, LPAs cannot determine if staff communicates to children in an inappopriate manner. Based on the interviews and information obtained throughout the investigation, the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED which means although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur. No Deficiency has been cited for this allegation. Exit interview conducted with Director, Awa Gaye. Appeal rights were provided. A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS ISSUED AND MUST BE POSTED FOR 30 CONSECTIVE DAYS.
