25 | On January 24th, 2025, at approximately 10:20am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) April Wright arrived for a Case Management inspection and met with Center Director Rajwinder Sahota. Present today were fifteen (15) toddlers and seven (7) fingerprint cleared staff personnel. Center was toured for a health and safety inspection.
Center Director submitted a UIR on 12/2/2024 reporting a new play structure was being installed for the toddler play yard at the facility.
Center Director stated in UIR that, "Kidango will be having a certified Playground Safety Inspector and hope to have a date scheduled before December 6th, 2024. We will not use the playground until both the certification has been completed and we pass and the yard has been visited by our Community Care Licensing analyst and we are cleared by both". LPA attempted a case management inspection on 12/19, but center director stated that playground was not ready, did not pass Kindago inspection and work still needs to be completed. Center Director advised LPA that they would be in contact when the work and Kidango inspection have been completed.
LPA conducted a structure inspection of the toddler playground and structures. LPA found no visual evidence of hazards or defects. There is artificial grass that is in place to prevent injury and to absorb falls. All three (3) play structures were inspected by the LPA and are anchored for stability. Yard play structures are age appropriate for children in care. manufactures tag on structure states it is designed for children 6 to 23 months of age.
Play yard is ready for use as of today, 1/24/25.
