13 | Today, 4/24/2026 at 10:47AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Paulita De Cruz met with School Readiness Coordinator, Ms. Amal Wahaba to deliver the finding for the above complaint allegation. Fifty-one (51) preschool children and 12 teachers were present during this visit. An allegation was made that "staff are not providing sufficient supervision resulting in children hurting each other."
Based on staff interviews and record review conducted during the course of the investigation, it was determined that a child-on-child incident occured in the play yard where one child scratched another child on the neck area. Two (2) teachers present in the yard failed to see or intervene, causing one child to be injured. The preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore this allegation was found to be SUBSTANTIATED. Title 22, Section 101229(a)(1) was cited during today's visit. See LIC9099-D for one Type B citation. Exit interiview was conducting with facility representative, Ms. Wahaba, and a copy of this report provided.
