On 10/21/2024 at 10:00AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jaleesa Jackson met with Director Janja Colic for an Unannounced Annual/Random Inspection. Present for this inspection were the Director, 4 fingerprint cleared staff, and 18 preschool aged children. The facility is operating at the St. Paul United Methodist Church. The hours of operation are Monday - Friday 8:00AM to 5:30PM. The facility was toured to conduct a health and safety inspection.

The preschool operates out of 3 classrooms. All 3 classrooms are tidy and clean with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. There are toys and learning materials available to children throughout the classroom. There were no hazardous materials or toxins present during today's inspection. Furniture accessible to children was observed in operable condition and free of loose, sharp, or pointed parts. The center has a fully charged fire extinguisher and working carbon monoxide smoke detector. The facility has a working telephone. Napping equipment was observed to be in good condition. Children's belongings are stored in the hallway outside of the classrooms in cubbies.

The play area has a play structure that has cushioned material below to absorb falls. There are no bodies of water accessible to children during today's inspection. Drinking water is available to children inside and outside the facility. There are several trees to provide shade in the outdoor area. There are backpacks of first aid supplies in each classroom that is only accessible to staff members.

The facility provides AM and PM snacks along with lunch from their kitchen area. The kitchen area is separate from the preschool and is shared with the church. LPA observed the menu and is posted at least two weeks out.
