32 | FOOD SERVICE AREAS: Facility provides breakfast, lunch and snacks to children in care. Half day am program children receive breakfast and pm session children receive lunch. Kitchen area was inspected and LPA observed it to be free of toxins, cleaning products or chemicals. Facility has a refrigerator which is clean and free of evidence of rodents, vermin or insects. There are weekly menus posted at the facility on the parent board in each classroom. All storage containers for solid waste have tight fitting covers that are in good repair as inspected by the LPA.
RECORDS: LPA requested and reviewed the files of seven (7) children's files and seven (7) staff which included with director's file. All staff files have required health screening and Employee Rights and all children files contain Identification & Emergency, Personal Rights, and Medical Consent forms. LPA reviewed the facility roster and obtained a copy. Mandated Reporter Training and CPR and First Aid certificates were reviewed and are up to date for all staff personnel. The center is in compliance with the sign in and out procedure via Kindersign. Disaster drills are being conducted at least once every 6 months and the last one conducted was on 8/27/2024. All required documents are posted in a public accessible area. LPA observed and Center Director confirmed that here are no weapons, firearms or pets at the facility.
This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. Center Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
