25 | On February 9th, 2024 at approximately 2:05pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) April Wright met with licensees Jing Kuan & Hui Ying Chen for an Unannounced Required 3 Year Inspection. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the home by the licensee. Present were a total of eight (8) children (5 preschool age/3 infants) in the home. LPA toured the home to conduct a health and safety inspection. The licensees are in ratio today. Hours of operation are 8:30am - 6:00pm Monday through Friday.
On limit areas include: Living/Family rooms (day-care areas #1& #2), bathroom (to right in daycare area #2) and backyard.
Off-limits areas include: Entire second level of home which includes all bedrooms (4), remaining bathrooms (2), kitchen and garage.
The two story home was neat and orderly, with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort of children in care. Home consists of four (4)) bedrooms, three (3) bathrooms, Kitchen, Living room, Family room, Dining area, backyard and garage. The isolation area is the living room which is a section away from other children in care. The off limits areas are and will be made inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision. There is a child safety gate at the bottom of the stairs to prevent access to the upper level of the home. There are additional Child safety gates in place for the kitchen areas to prevent access to children. There are no pools, hot tubs or any other bodies of water present in the home. LPA did not observe any hazardous materials or toxins during today's inspection. There are age appropriate toys that appear to be safe and in good condition. The home has a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher and small 5B-C kitchen extinguisher, working dual smoke/carbon monoxide detectors and telephone. There is a fireplace in that has glass doors, locked and is blocked making it inaccessible to children in care. Per licensee there are no firearms in the home. The licensee is in compliance with the immunization laws which pertains to all childcare providers. See LIC809 -C for continuance |
