25 | On July 21, 2026, at 8:00 a.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elimika Woods met with Licensee Maria C. Martinez to conduct an unannounced annual random inspection. The facility operates as a Large Family Child Care Home with a licensed capacity of fourteen (14) children. At the time of the inspection, no children were present in care. LPA toured the facility, both indoors and outdoors, with the licensee to conduct a health and safety inspection.
The single-story home is owned and operated by the licensee and consists of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, kitchen, laundry area, converted garage, and backyard. The home was observed to be clean, orderly, and well maintained. It is equipped with centralized heating and ventilation to help ensure the safety and comfort of children in care. LPA asked the licensee whether there were any firearms in the home or if transportation was provided for children in care. The licensee stated that there are no firearms in the home and that she does not provide transportation for children in care. The facility's hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
On-limit areas include the master bedroom, hallway bathroom, living room, kitchen, dining room, middle backyard area, and the bedroom located near the front entrance of the home.
The designated isolation area for ill children is the bedroom near the front entrance, which is separate from the other children in care.
Off-limit areas include the first bedroom on the left side of the hallway, the upper left section of the backyard, the master bathroom, laundry area, lower backyard, and converted garage. These areas are inaccessible to children through the use of closed and/or locked doors and are further monitored through visual supervision.
