25 | On March 12, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lorraine Dacanay Breaux met with licensee Megha Thuse for an Unannounced Required One Year Annual Inspection. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the licensee. Present during the inspection was the licensee's fingerprint husband and assistant, and two (2) children in care. Licensee stated that the facility operates from Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
LPA toured the facility inside and outside to conduct a Health and Safety inspection. This two story home which consist of 4 bedrooms/3 bathrooms. The home was clean and orderly, with heating and ventilation for the safety and comfort. Isolation area: Section of the living room, away from other children in care, until parents arrive.
On Limit Areas: Living room, family room, kitchen, bedroom (on the main level) and bathroom on the main level and rear yard. Fireplace is located in the living room it is covered to prevent access to the children in care.
Off- Limit Areas: Entire second floor all 3 bedrooms on second level and 2 bathrooms and two car garage. There is a safety gate at the bottom of the stairs to prevent children 5 years or younger access to the second level.
The off-limits are will be made inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision. LPA did not observe any hazardous materials or toxins accessible to children during today’s inspection. There are no pools, hot tubs or any other bodies of water present in the on-limit areas during today's inspection. Licensee confirmed there are no pools/hot tubs and/or bodies of water at the home.
The home has a working smoke detector (tested/functioning), working carbon monoxide detector (tested/
functioning), first aid kit, telephone, and fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher located near the front door. Per licensee there are no firearms during today's visit. Per licensee does not transport children. Licensee confirmed she resides in the home.
