On 11/08/2023 at 9:35AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jaleesa Jackson met with Director Kirsten Collier-Kotsakis for an Unannounced Annual Inspection. Present for this inspection were 6 preschool aged children and 1 fingerprint cleared staff member. Facility operating hours are 8:30AM - 5:00PM Monday - Friday. The facility was toured to conduct a health and safety inspection.

At 10:10AM, LPA toured the facility classroom. The preschool is at the Sunol Glen School and operates in room #201. The isolation area is located in the front office of the school. The classroom is tidy and clean with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. There are safe age-appropriate toys and learning materials available to children throughout the classroom. There are individualized storage space that is labelled for each child's belongings. There were no hazardous materials and toxins present during today's inspection. Furniture accessible to children was observed to be age-appropriate, in operable condition, and free of loose, sharp, or pointed parts. LPA reviewed sign in/sign out binder. All 6 children were signed in for the day. There is a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, working telephone; carbon monoxide and smoke detectors are inspected by Fire Marshall every year. Safe drinking water is available to children inside and outside the facility as children are using their own water bottles. Director stated that children bring their own snacks and lunches. The facility also has an emergency disaster backpack including a first aid kit inside.

LPA also toured the facility bathroom that are shared with Sunol Glen school. The schedule is staggered so the preschoolers are not outside the same time as the school aged children. The areas around swings, slides, and high climbing equipment have cushioning material to absorb falls. There are plenty of trees available to provide shade. During today's inspection LPA did not observe any harmful bodies of water.
