25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jyoti Saini met with Licensee Mausami Ravani for an unannounced Annual Random Inspection. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the Licensee. Present during this inspection was the Licensee, supervising two (2) preschoolers. The home is a two-story home with four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a loft on the second floor. The first floor consists of a living room, family room, kitchen, dining area, laundry room, garage, bedroom, bathroom, and back yard. The provider operates a part-time program, 9:00 am- 1:00pm, Monday -Friday. The facility has liability insurance through DCI Insurance.
ON-LIMIT AREAS: living room, family room, kitchen, dining area, downstairs bathroom, and backyard. OFF-LIMIT AREAS are the entire second floor, downstairs bedroom, laundry room, and garage.
The living room is a primary daycare area, equipped with age-appropriate toys for children. The home has a working telephone, a functional smoke and carbon monoxide detector, and a fire extinguisher that meets the minimum requirements. During the inspection, LPA did not observe any bodies of water. The fireplace in the family room is screened to prevent children from accessing it, and the licensee confirmed that the fireplace is not in use during operational hours.The living room contains child-sized tables and chairs for snacks and activities. The outdoor play area is fenced and furnished with various outdoor toys. The licensee confirmed that there are no guns or weapons of any kind in the home. Electrical outlets are equipped with child protective covers, ensuring they are inaccessible to children. A child safety gate at the bottom of the stairs prevents children from accessing the stairs and upper levels.The licensee's CPR certification expires on 08/25, and the mandated reporter certificates expires on 01/19/2026. As per fire drill log, the most recent emergency drill was conducted on 12/02/2024 at 10:00 a.m. The licensee provides daily snacks and lunch for the children in care.LPA reviewed the children's files, and all records were complete and up to date. All required postings are properly posted. A copy of the children's roster was available for review and was obtained. The licensee acknowledged an understanding of safe sleep guidelines.
