32 | Around 11:15 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) asked the licensee whether she was providing Incidental Medical Services (IMS) to children in care, and the licensee stated that she was not. LPA discussed the Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy with the licensee. LPA advised the licensee that when any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. The following information regarding ADA was provided: US Department of Justice (USDOJ) toll-free ADA Information Line at (800) 514-0301 (voice)/ (800) 514-0383 (TTY) and link to publication: Commonly Asked Questions about Child Care Centers and the ADA, available at: https://www.ada.gov/resources/child-care-centers/.
LPA inspected the cabinets in the on-limit areas, which include the kitchen, living room, hallway bathroom located on the upper level, the first bedroom on the right side of the main hallway, the bedroom located on the left side of the hallway, and the downstairs childcare room. LPA did not observe any hazardous materials, toxins, or other dangerous items accessible to children during today's inspection.
LPA tested the combination smoke and carbon monoxide detector and verified that it was functioning properly. The home is equipped with a working telephone, a first aid kit, and a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher that meets the standards established by the State Fire Marshal.
At 11:35 AM, LPA inspected the backyard area and confirmed that no swimming pools, hot tubs, spas, or other bodies of water were present on the premises. The outdoor play area includes age-appropriate play equipment and outdoor furnishings, including ride-on toys, bicycles, tricycles, and mini slides. The backyard is fully fenced and free from defects or dangerous conditions. A canopy provides shade and protection from harmful sunlight during outdoor play.
At 12:00 PM, LPA requested and reviewed the files of two (2) children in care and one (1) staff member. Children's files contained the required Parent Notification of Additional Children in Care, Identification and Emergency Information, Parent's Rights, and Consent for Emergency Medical Treatment forms. The staff file contained the required Employee Rights form, Statement Acknowledging Requirement to Report Child Abuse, and immunization records. LPA reviewed the health records of the licensee, staff, and children and verified that the licensee is in compliance with applicable immunization requirements for childcare providers.
The licensee conducts and documents fire and disaster drills at least once every six months. The most recent drill was conducted on March 5, 2026. The licensee has completed the required Health and Safety training and maintains current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification, which expires in June 2026. The licensee also completed Mandated Reporter Training on June 10, 2025. LPA reviewed the facility roster and verified that it accurately reflects currently enrolled children as well as children who are no longer attending the facility. All required licensing documents were observed to be posted and readily visible for public review.
