25 | On 8/29/23, a Case Management Visit was conducted for adding a toddler option by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Melissa Domantay. LPA met with Head Teacher, Martha Espinoza. Present for today's inspection are 4 staff and 21 children. The center has submitted an application to add a toddler option to the preschool component. Hours of operation are from 7:30am-5:30pm, Monday through Friday. A health and safety inspection was conducted inside and outside. Outdoor measurements remain the same. Toddlers will utilize the 3 classroom areas and outdoor play yard will be shared between both components with a schedule in place to ensure there is no commingling between components. Classroom 1 is designated for Toddler program, Classroom 2 is a shared space between toddlers and preschoolers with a schedule in place, Per Head Teacher, Martha Espinoza classroom is utilized for preschoolers for nap time. Classroom 3, left side of the classroom is designated for the toddler classroom with a barrier in place and right side of classroom is designated for the preschool program.
INDOORS: 844.18 square feet = 24 Toddler children
OUTDOORS: Remains the same from previous measurements.
A fire clearance was received from the Oakland Fire Department for 41 preschoolers, ages 2 years to first grade entry with toddler option, 12 toddlers ages 18 months to 36 months. Total capacity 53 children. Fire clearance dated 8/14/23.
Playground equipment is in good condition. Drinking water is available inside and outside. Children utilize personal reusable water bottles. The changing table is within arms reach of sink. All toilets and hand washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating conditions. Lunch and snacks is provided by parents from home. Facility utilizes electronic form sign in and out. The center is equipped with a fully stocked first aid kit, working telephone, carbon monoxide detector located in each room, a pull down fire alarm, and 3A40BC fire extinguishers.
