25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jyoti Saini met with Licensee Monal Patel for an unannounced Annual Random Inspection. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the Licensee. Present during this inspection was Licensee, and two helpers supervising ten children (one infant and nine preschoolers). The home is two-story with four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a loft, a living room, a family room, a kitchen, a dining room, a laundry room, a garage, and a back yard. The hours of operation are 8:30am to 5:30 pm, Monday -Friday. ON-LIMIT AREAS The first floor consists of a living room, dining room, downstairs bedroom and bathroom, ½ bathroom, a kitchen with dining area, a family room, and a backyard. OFF-LIMIT AREAS include the entire second floor, the garage, and the laundry room located on the first floor. All the off-limit areas are made inaccessible to children by locked doors, safety gates, and visual supervision.
LPA inspected the house for health and safety hazards. The home has a working telephone, a smoke and carbon monoxide detector, and a fire extinguisher meeting the minimum requirements. The daycare Area is clean, orderly, and equipped with age-appropriate toys. During today’s inspection, LPA did not observe any bodies of water in the daycare area. Licensee confirmed during the inspection that there are no firearms in the day care. There is a fireplace in the daycare room. Per licensee, the fireplace is not in use during operational hours. The Licensee conducts and documents Fire/Disaster Drills; the log indicates a drill was conducted on 02/15/2025. Each child has a separate cot and blanket. Per provider, the facility washes the bedding weekly or as needed. There is a child safety gate located at the bottom of the stairs to prevent access to the stairs and upper levels. There are two pets (cats) in the home. Per licensee cats stays in the off-limit area. The outdoor play area is fenced and contain slide and playhouse. The Licensee and helper have a valid CPR and first aid on the file. The Licensee provides breakfast, lunch and snacks. LPA reviewed children’s files. All the files are complete and up to date. All required postings are properly posted. Licensee maintain 15 minutes sleep check for the infant enrolled. The facility roster was reviewed.
