On 08/22/2023 approximately at 11:45PM Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Jaleesa Jackson and Briana Plumboy arrived at for an unannounced annual required inspection and met with facility assistant Prasanna Savalam. There were no children present for todays inspection. The other adults residing in the home are the licensee's fingerprint cleared husband, assistant, and minor son. The home was toured with the assistant to conduct a health and safety inspection. Hours of operation for the day care are Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm.

ON LIMITS: bedroom #1 that is closest to the kitchen (isolation area), bathroom #1 in the family room, fenced backyard, living room, and family play room

OFF LIMITS: kitchen, bedroom #2, bedroom #3, and bedroom #4, bedroom #5 (prayer room) left and right side yards. Off limit areas are inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors, and visual supervision.

The home is single story, which is neat with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. During today's inspection LPAs observed there were toys and activities that were safe and in good condition. There is a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher, combination smoke detector with carbon monoxide, and working phone.
The home does not have a fireplace. During todays inspection there were no firearms, pets, or any bodies of water in the on limit areas. All required licensing documents are posted for public review in the family play room.

The assistant has proof of the required immunization. The licensee and assistant have required mandated reporter training that is completed as of 05/12/2023.

There are no deficiencies cited for today's inspection.

Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

LPAs discussed the safe sleep regulations with facility representative and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-andresources/safe-sleep as an additional resource.

LPA also informed facility representative of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02- CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. Facility representative was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.

During the exit interview, the facility representative confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.
