On 08/26/2024 at 9:50AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jaleesa Jackson arrived for an unannounced Annual/Random inspection and met with Licensee Swapna Tangirala. Also present in the home were her fingerprint cleared assistant, 3 preschool aged children, and 2 infants. The Licensee resides in the home with her licensee's fingerprint cleared husband, assistant, and minor son. The home was toured to conduct a health and safety inspection. Hours of operation for the day care are Monday through Friday, 9:00AM to 6:00PM.

ON LIMITS: Bedroom #1 (room closest to the kitchen), Bathroom #1 (in the family room), Living room, Family room, and Backyard

OFF LIMITS: Kitchen, Bedroom #2, Bedroom #3, and Bedroom #4, Bedroom #5 (prayer room), Laundry Room, left and right side yards.

ISOLATION AREA: Bedroom #1

The home is single story owned by the Licensee with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. During today's inspection LPA observed there were toys and activities that were safe and in good condition. There is a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher, combination smoke detector with carbon monoxide, and working phone. The home does not have a fireplace. During todays inspection there were no firearms, pets, or any bodies of water in the on limit areas. All required licensing documents are posted for public review in the family room. Off limit areas are inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors, and visual supervision.

LPA reviewed 5 children's files. Licensee’s Pediatric CPR and First Aid training's are completed and expires 1/2026. Licensee’s Mandated Reporter certificate is complete and expires 5/12/2025. Licensee's assistant Pediatric CPR and First Aid are completed and expires 8/2025 and her Mandated Reporter expires 5/12/2025. Licensee conducts and documents disaster drill at least every 6 months. The last drill was logged 4/4/2024. All adults living in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance.

There were no deficiencies cited on today's visit.

Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-andresources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02- CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.

During the exit interview, the LICENSEE Swapna Tangirala, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
