On November 13, 2021, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Simerjit Kaur met with Director Shubra Gupta for an UNANNOUNCED ANNUAL REQUIRED INSPECTION. The facility was toured to conduct a Health and Safety Inspection. Present for the inspection was 14 school age children in care and 2 fingerprint clear and associated staff. This program current operates Monday-Friday 7:15am-5:30pm.

The school age program is operating in Kindergarten classroom. The room has operable 2 toilets and 3 sinks for use by the children. The toilets and sinks were safe, sanitary and in operable condition. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, and floors are free of tripping hazards. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that are dangerous to children were inaccessible during the visit. Menus are posted. The facility provides breakfast, lunch, and snacks. The food preparation and storage areas are clean, free of litter & rubbish, and free of rodents and other vermin. The food is labeled with names of children. All food and beverages that require refrigeration are stored in covered containers. Drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors. There are no medications .

There are no pools or similar bodies of water at this facility. Outdoor activity space and playground equipment observed to be safe and free of hazards. Climbing equipment is properly anchored to the ground with adequate and appropriate cushioning material to absorb falls. There is a shaded area provided for the children. Fire/Disaster Drills are conducted at least every six months, and a review of the log shows the last drill was conducted 11/17/21. Required licensing documents were posted. Sign in/out logs are maintained.
Teacher Sarika Bhopal has current First Aid/CPR, which expires on 11/4/2022. Director has current First Aid/CPR, which expires on 11/4/2022. Teacher's mandated reporter training will expire on 12/2022. Per director, there are multiple fire extinguishers, carbon monoxide and smoke detectors, which meet the State Fire Marshall standards by Bay Alarm Company.

Per Director, there are no firearms on the premises of the child care center. All children and staff records were reviewed, and contained required licensing documents. Teachers present today meet the qualification requirements. Staff have required immunizations and mandated reporter training.

Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records.
