| Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jyoti Saini and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Wynn Norona conducted a Case Management Inspection to review the facility’s request to increase its licensed capacity from 14 to 48 children. In addition, the facility submitted a request to amend the existing license by removing School-Age Room #4 as a school-age classroom and authorizing the school-age program to operate in Classrooms #5 and #6.
LPA met with Director Sarah DeSousa, and the purpose of the inspection was explained. The facility also has two additional components: Preschool (013422425) and Infant (013422427).
During the visit, LPA remeasured the indoor and outdoor spaces. The indoor measurements totaled 1,722.13 square feet. Dividing by 35 square feet allows for a maximum capacity of 49 school age children. There is total 4 sinks and 3 toilets leaving room here is 1 unisex private bathroom for school aged use, and 1 sink leaving room for 45 school age children only.
The outdoor space measured 1,103.07 square feet, which allows a maximum of 14 children at one time. There are four sinks and three toilets,
Room #6 is a dual-use classroom that is shared with the preschool program when public school is in session.
Additionally, the facility was advised under Section 101539 to maintain individual privacy for toilets used by school-age children. Toilets shall not be used simultaneously by children of both sexes.
An exit interview was conducted with Director Sarah DeSousa
A copy of this report will remain on file for a period of 3 yrs for public review and a copy should be kept in the facility to be provided upon request.
A notice of site visit was posted and must remain posted for a period of 30 days
The following items are required before a license will be issued:
1. Pending Insufficient Outdoor Activity Space Waiver request.
2. Amended Granted STD850.
3. Updated Application (LIC200A).
