25 | On 05/11/23 at , Licensing Program Analyst Briana Plumboy met with licensee Charlene Jones for an UNANNOUNCED RANDOM INSPECTION. The home was toured to conduct a Health and Safety Inspection. Present for the inspection was 1 infant, and 2 preschool age children. Licensee is dually licensed. The licensee operates the facility Monday through Saturday from 6:30am until 6:30pm.
The home is two stories. The home is neat and clean with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. The ON LIMIT AREAS are the living room, right side of the kitchen on the right side of the bedroom door, dining room, family room, downstairs bathroom, and backyard. The OFF LIMIT AREAS are the the first floor bedroom, kitchen, the garage, the washroom, the side of the yard, and the entire second level which will be inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision. The ISOLATION AREA will be the living room. There is a gate located at the bottom of the stairs to prevent access to the second level. The BACKYARD play area is completely fenced. There are toys and learning materials. There are no pools, hot tubs or any other bodies of water present in the on limits areas during today's inspection. All hazardous materials and toxins were observed to be kept out of reach of children during todays inspection.
The home has a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, working smoke detector, working carbon monoxide detector, and working telephone. The licensees CPR and First Aid certificate is current and expires 4/20/26. The licensee is in compliance with the immunization law. The licensees mandated reporter training is complete and she received her certificate of completion May 2024. The fireplace is screened to prevent access by children. Per licensee, there are no firearms in the home. The licensee conducts and documents fire and disaster drills twice a year with the last one conducted on 5/3/24.
