25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jyoti Saini met with Licensee Hamina Rahimi for an unannounced annual random inspection. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the helper. Home is a two-story home consisting of four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a loft, a living room, a family room, a dining area, a kitchen, an office, a laundry room, a front yard, a backyard, and a garage. Present during this inspection were the licensee and the helper, supervising seven (7) preschoolers. Currently there are no infants enrolled. The licensee is within the capacity limits of a large license. The hours of operation are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
On-Limit Areas: Family room, dining room, living room, kitchen, loft (main daycare area on the second floor), bathroom (upstairs and downstairs), and backyard. Off-Limit Areas: All bedrooms, laundry room, office, and garage. All off-limit areas are made inaccessible to children by locked doors, safety gates, and visual supervision.
The home has a working telephone, a working smoke and carbon monoxide detector, and a fire extinguisher that meets the minimum requirements. During today’s inspection, LPA did not observe any bodies of water. Licensee confirmed during the inspection that there are no firearms stored in the house. There is a fireplace located in the living room, but it is screened to prevent access to children. There are two entrances to the stairs. Retractable gates are installed on both sides of the stairs. The licensee provides two snacks, and children bring their lunch from home. The backyard is designated as a play area, which is equipped with age-appropriate toys and fully fenced. The licensee’s CPR and First Aid certification is valid until September 2026, and the helper’s certification is valid until March 2027. Both the licensee and the helper also have updated mandated reporter training certification on file. According to the fire drill log, the last emergency drill was conducted on 11/04/2025 and is properly logged. LPA reviewed all children's files, and all files are complete. The facility roster was reviewed, and a copy was obtained.
