25 | On April 3, 2026, at 8:45AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Randy Miranda met with licensee Hema Kuppuswamy for the purpose of conducting an unannounced annual inspection for compliance to health and safety. Living in the home is the licensee and her teenage twins (son and daughter). Present for today’s inspection was the licensee, 2 assistants, and 10 children in care (9 preschool age and 1 infant). The hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm. Max. Cap (When there is an Assistant Present): 12 – No more than 4 infants. Cap 14 – No more than 3 infants. 1 Child in Kindergarten or Elementary School and 1 Child at least age 6.
The facility is a single-family home with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, dining room, kitchen, attached 2-car garage, back and side yards.
ON LIMIT AREAS: Living room (day care area), dining room, main bathroom at end of hallway, and back yard area.
OFF LIMIT AREAS: All four bedrooms, kitchen, attached 2-car garage, and left side-yard area (only used as a pass through for entrance to day care), and right side-yard area.
ISOLATION AREA: Hallway area in front of main door. When a child shows signs of illness, he/she will be separated from other children in care.
There were ample age-appropriate toys observed, all of which were safe and in good condition. The home is clean and neat, with adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Per the licensee, the facility contains a fireplace, but it is located in an off-limit bedroom. Hazardous materials, toxins, or bodies of water were not accessible on the premises during the inspection.
