25 | On May 27, 2026, at 2:10 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elimika Woods met with licensee Sandra Silva to conduct an unannounced Annual Random Inspection. The facility operates as a Large Family Child Care Home with a licensed capacity of 14 children. At the time of the inspection, eight (8) children, including three (3) infants, were present and supervised by the licensee’s two fingerprint-cleared assistants. The LPA toured the facility with the licensee, both inside and outside, to conduct a health and safety inspection.
The single-story home is owned and operated by the licensee and consists of four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, dining room, kitchen, backyard, and attached two-car garage. The facility operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
On-limit areas include the living room, kitchen, dining area, first bedroom located on the right side of the hallway, hallway bathroom, and backyard. The designated isolation area is the living room, which is separated from other children in care.
Off-limit areas include the primary bedroom and bathroom, two additional bedrooms, and the garage. These areas are inaccessible to children through closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision.
The home was observed to be clean, orderly, and well maintained. The home is equipped with centralized heating and ventilation to ensure the safety and comfort of children in care. LPA asked the licensee whether there were any firearms in the home or whether transportation was provided for children in care. The licensee stated that there were no firearms in the home and that transportation services were not provided.
LPA inspected the cabinets located in the on-limit areas, including the living room, kitchen, dining area, first bedroom on the right side of the hallway, and hallway bathroom, and did not observe any hazardous materials or toxins accessible to children during today’s inspection. LPA tested the dual smoke and carbon monoxide detector located in the hallway and found it to be functioning properly. The home is equipped with a working telephone, first aid kit, pull-down fire alarm system, and a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher that meets State Fire Marshal standards. A fireplace located in the living room was observed with a protective screen to prevent children’s access.
