| Off-Limit Areas: Kitchen, dining room, first bedroom on the left side of the hall, back master bedroom and master bathroom, and attached 2-car garage. Off limit areas are inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors, child gates and visual supervision.
ISOLATION AREA will be in the second bedroom on the left side of the hall away from the other children in care.
The Licensee informed LPA of a desired change: swapping the first bedroom from “On-Limits” to “Off-Limits” and the second bedroom from “Off-Limits” to “On-Limits.” LPA instructed the Licensee to submit a facility sketch reflecting the updated On/Off-Limits designations for the bedrooms.
The Licensee was reminded that, aside from wipes or items used for children in the children’s bathroom, all other items—such as cleaning products—must either be removed or securely locked. No hazardous cleaning chemicals or other liquids are accessible in the on-limits area.
During the inspection, LPA did not observe any hazardous materials, cleaning products, toxins, or bodies of water accessible to children on the premises. The on-limits backyard play area contains age-appropriate toys and small structures, and the Licensee has a sufficient supply of age-appropriate toys and learning materials within the home.
The Licensee’s CPR and First Aid certificate is current and expires on 10/28/2025. Mandated Reporter training (verified AB1207) was completed and expires on 10/12/2025. Both assistants have completed Mandated Reporter training: Assistant #1’s certification expires on 9/25/2026, and Assistant #2’s on 3/14/2026.
LPA reminded the Licensee of the following requirements: Mandated Reporter certificates must be obtained for all staff and renewed every two years; CPR and First Aid certifications must also be renewed every two years; Baby bouncers and drop-down cribs are not allowed in the daycare facility.
All children’s files were reviewed and found to be complete and in good order. Staff files were also reviewed and found to be complete and in good order. The Licensee does not carry liability insurance, and all children’s files contain signed acknowledgment forms for parents.
