25 | On March 10, 2023, at 10:50 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elimika Woods met with licensee Porcha Lombard for an Unannounced Required 1 Year Inspection. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the licensee. Present during the inspection were four children, two infants one preschool and one school age child. There were also three additional fingerprint cleared assistants at the facility. The licensee is in ratio today. Licensee stated that the facility operates from Monday to Friday 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
LPA toured the facility inside and outside to conduct a Health and Safety inspection. This two story home was clean and orderly, with heating and ventilation for the safety and comfort of children in care. The off-limits are will be made inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision. There's a gate at the bottom of the stairs leading up to the second level of home. The Isolation area of the home will be a section of the living room, away from other children in care.
There are no pools, hot tubs or any other bodies of water present in the on-limit areas during today's inspection. LPA did not observe any hazardous materials or toxins accessible to children during today’s inspection.
The home has a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, pull down fire alarm, working smoke detector, working carbon monoxide detector, first aid kit, and telephone. There's no fireplace or heaters accessible to children in care.
On-limit-areas are the: Living room, eat in kitchen, downstairs bathroom, and backyard
Off-limit-areas are the: All bedrooms, entire second level of home, storage unit, and garage
