Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jyoti Saini conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection and met with facility representative Vantika Singh. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry by the staff. The facility operates two programs: A preschool program from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and an after-school program under the Heritage license from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The facility includes three classrooms: D101 (Pre-K), E107 (Early Preschool), and C5 (Heritage), along with an indoor play area. While the preschool program does not have an outdoor play yard, it provides an indoor motor skills room and has an outdoor yard waiver posted by the entrance. The facility representative is aware that the preschool program must not be commingled with the Heritage School program. Present for the inspection were the facility representative, one fingerprint cleared staff member, and six (6)children in care. The facility was inspected for health and safety hazards, and the following was observed.
The Classroom E-107 is equipped with a functioning carbon monoxide detector. The facility has a fully charged fire extinguisher and a working telephone available. During the inspection, LPA did not observe any bodies of water on the premises. The facility representative confirmed that no firearms or weapons are stored on the premises. The children and staff have separate bathrooms. Children bring their own water bottles, which the facility refills using water dispensers. The facility provides only snacks, and children bring their lunches. All the required postings are posted. The last emergency drill was conducted on 3/12/2024 at 10:10 am and was properly logged. Staff records were reviewed and completed. All staff members have criminal record clearances on file. The opening and closing staff members have current Pediatric First Aid/CPR certifications.
