Children have access to a fenced outdoor playground with age-appropriate equipment. A waiver requires rotating playground use to meet indoor/outdoor square-footage requirements. LPA observed all structures and toys to be in safe condition, free of sharp, loose, or protruding parts. Appropriate cushioning is in place under and around climbing equipment and slides. Large trees provide ample shade. Children bring bottled water, and each classroom also has filtered water available. Classrooms contain trash cans with tight-fitting lids. First-aid kits are available in each classroom and in the outdoor area. All reviewed medications were properly stored and unexpired.
Children’s files were reviewed and found to be complete and in good order. Staff files were also reviewed and found to be complete and in good order.

For childcare center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1-CCP). Children bring their own water bottles, and the school also provides bottled water to children. Lead testing is complete and documented.
