25 | On 06/30/23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Melissa Guirit arrived at the facility for an announced case management inspection for a change of capacity. LPA met with Director, Dara Leon. There were no children present during today's inspection. The normal hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. LPA conducted a tour of all the classrooms to conduct a health and safety inspection. The Infant component will be moving to the toddler classroom and the toddlers will be moving to the preschool classroom, leaving the current infant room vacant. Per Director the former infant room will not be utilized by children. The infant/toddler component will now operate in two classrooms. The new measurements are as follows:
INDOORS: 788.98 sq ft = 23 children
OUTDOORS: same as previous reports
A fire clearance was received from the Oakland Fire Department for 8 infants, ages 0 to 24 months, with a toddler option of 24 toddlers, ages 18 months to 36 months.
The infant room has four cribs available to four crib age children. Per Director, there are cots available for the older age children in care. The changing table in the infant room is within arms reach of a portable sink.
A license for 23 children, which includes 4 crib age will remain pending due to the preschool rooms not being fully ready. There are no deficiencies being cited during today's inspection. A Notice of Site inspection was provided to Director, Dara Leon and an exit interview was conducted. |
