25 | On 07/28/23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Melissa Domantay arrived at the facility for an announced case management inspection for a change of capacity and adding rooms. LPA met with Director, Dara Leon. There were no children present during today's inspection. The normal hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. LPA conducted a tour of all the classrooms to conduct a health and safety inspection. The Infant program will operate in 2 classrooms on the lower floor, Classroom A and Classroom A1 and the Toddler program will operate in 1 classroom, Classroom B. The new measurements are as follows:
INDOORS: 1013.82 sq ft = 29 children
OUTDOORS: same as previous reports
A fire clearance was received from the Oakland Fire Department for 8 infants, ages 0 to 24 months, with a toddler option of 24 toddlers, ages 18 months to 36 months, dated 6/9/2023.
The infant classroom A1 has four cribs available to four crib age children. Per Director, there are cots available for the older age children in care. The changing table in the infant room is within arms reach of a portable sink.
A license for 12 infants and 17 toddlers, total capacity 29 children, which includes 4 crib age is approved and will be made part of this license as of 7/28/23. There are no deficiencies being cited during today's inspection. A Notice of Site inspection was provided to Director, Dara Leon and an exit interview was conducted. |
