On 2/24/2025 at 10:00 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Janai McClain and Caroline Colson conducted a case management inspection at this facility. LPAs met with Director Solange Barboza. There were 40 children and 10 staff present during the inspection. An application was received with a request to add classroom 7 to the license. The facility will operate Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

A tour of Room 7 was conducted for a health and safety inspection. LPAs did not observe any hazardous items, defects or dangerous conditions. There is a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher and centralized combination carbon monoxide/smoke detection system.

LPAs measured Room 7 for the facility. The measurement is 417.51 square feet. All other classrooms were measured on July 24, 2020 which was 2,671.61 square ft. The complete measurements for the entire facility are:

INDOORS: 3,089.12 square feet for the indoor space.
OUTDOORS: 8,504.08 square feet for the outdoor space.

A fire clearance, dated 9/27/24, was received from the Oakland Fire Department for adding a room for (72) preschoolers, ages 2 years to first grade entry.

Room 7 will be made part of the preschool license effective 2/24/25 with a capacity of 72 preschool children. There are no deficiencies being cited. An exit interview was conducted with Director Solange Barboza and appeal rights were provided.
