25 | On 04/08/22 at 11:40am, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Melissa Domantay and Melissa Guirit arrived at the facility for an announced case management inspection. LPAs met with Sabrina Cazarez, the administrator. The normal hours of operation are Monday-Friday 7:30am-6:00pm. An application was received for an increase of capacity and adding a toddler option. LPAs conducted a full tour of the facility to conduct a health and safety inspection with administrator Sabrina Cazarez. All measurements remain the same from previous report. A fire clearance for 24 preschoolers and 12 toddlers was received from the Alameda City Fire Deparment on 3/23/22.
LPAs observed that all areas have sufficient lighting, heating and ventilation for the safety and comfort of children and staff. The floors and surfaces are clean and in good condition. There is an ample supply of age appropriate activities, equipment, and furniture that is in good condition. The staff bathroom and the front desk area will be used for the isolation of sick children. The facility provides snacks in case of emergencies and lunch will be brought from home. LPAs observed an ample supply of napping mats, which are stored appropriately.The indoor play structure in one of the areas has sufficient cushioning, is secure, and age appropriate. Administrator Sabrina has provided a schedule for toddler option that includes the area and time toddler and preschool children will utilize different areas of the facility. Administrator Sabrina has also submitted a classroom bathroom schedule. The facility is equipped with 3A40BC fire extinguishers, pull down fire alarms, a centralized smoke and carbon monoxide detection system, working telephone, and first aid supplies. LPAs did not observe any hazardous items, toxins, bodies of water or medication accessible to children during today's inspection.
A license for 12 toddlers and 20 preschool children with a total max capacity of 32 children will be made part of the license, effective today 04/08/22, and can be used when the facility is ready. There are no deficiencies being cited today. A Notice of Site inspection was provided to the Sabrina, and an exit interview was conducted |
