On August 28, 2024 at 9:10am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Indira Loza and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Mayla Mendoza arrived at the facility for an unannounced case management inspection to add a classroom. LPA and LPM met with Director Chien-Hsuan Chen. Present for today's inspection were 63 preschoolers and 16 staff. The normal hours of operation are Monday-Friday 7:30am-6:00pm. LPA and LPM toured the facility for a health and safety check. The addition of the new room results in the following measurements:

INDOOR: 3,654.22 sq ft = 110 children
OUTDOOR: 22,233 sq ft = 296 children

On July 24, 2024 the Berkeley Fire Department approved a fire clearance for 104 preschoolers.

LPA and LPM observed that the classrooms has sufficient lighting and appears to be clean and in good condition. There are sufficient amount of sinks and toilets for children to utilize. Facility has 7 toilets, 5 urinals, and 15 sinks. There is a designated staff bathroom. LPA and LPM observed an ample supply of age appropriate activities, materials, equipment, and furniture.

LPA and LPM observed the preschool outdoor play yard areas which are fully fenced and have ample supply of age appropriate equipment. There is sufficient shade and cushion to absorb a child's fall under the play structures and play areas. The facility has two waivers: one is for the Preschool to share the playground with the elementary school students and the second waiver is so the multipurpose room can be shared with the elementary school students and the preschool. There are two play structures on the playground and the play structure on the left is off limits to the preschool children.
