25 | On 06/05/2026 at 9:00 AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Liam Bucsko conducted an Unannounced Required Inspection at the Small Size Big Mind Inc. - Infant Program. LPA met with Site Director, Rebecca "Becky" Rygg explained the purpose of today's inspection. Facility's operating days and hours are Monday to Friday 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM. Present during today's inspection were 5 staff and 15 infant children in 2 rooms.
INDOOR: Physical plant was inspected and toured. Infant rooms are named 'Infant' and 'Coral,' and a gymnasium is used for play activity. In all spaces, infants were engaged in various activities under the visual supervision of the teachers. Rooms, restrooms, and in-use areas were inspected. Food and feeding bottles were labeled and stored safely. Food storage areas were sanitary, free of litter, rubbish, and rodents/vermin. Trash cans for solid waste had tight-fitting covers on and were in good repair. The infant changing table has raised sides that are at least 3 inches in height, has a vinyl changing pad that is at least 1 inch thick and in good condition. Napping equipment is appropriate. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, and other items that are dangerous to the health and safety of children were stored in places inaccessible to them. Cabinets, drawers, and rooms used for storage were locked. Floors were clean and free from tripping hazard. LPA observed a working fire extinguisher, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Log shows that the last Fire Drill was conducted on 03/03/2026. Facility does not provide transportation for children, but Director understands that children cannot be left alone, unattended in parked vehicles. Facility’s License, Parents’ Rights Poster PUB 393, Parents' Rights, Activity Schedules, and Menus were observed to be posted.
OUTDOOR: Outdoor activity space was inspected and observed to be fenced and safe. The play equipment is age appropriate and maintained in good condition and free of hazards. Shade is provided by way of covered areas. There were no bodies of water observed. Drinking water is arranged to be readily available to children during indoor and outdoor activities.
