25 | On 4/8/2022 at 12:44pm Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Morgan Pringle met with Licensee Maria Velez for an Unannounced Annual Inspection. Present during the inspection was the Licensee, two (2) preschool age children and one (1) infant. Licensee lives in the home with her three (3) foster daughters. Licensee’s home was toured for a health and safety inspection. The facility operates 6:00am – 6:00pm, Monday - Friday.
ON LIMITS AREA: Living Room, Kitchen, Hallway Bathroom, 1st Bedroom on the Right, Detached Converted Garage, Enclosed Patio, Front Yard and Backyard
OFF LIMITS AREA: Master Bedroom, Last Bedroom on the Right and Pool Area
ISOLATION AREA: Living Room or Enclosed Patio
The facility is a single-story home owned by the Licensee. The inside and outside of the home were observed to be neat, clean with ample age appropriate materials for the children. All toxins, cleaning products, medications, and hazardous materials were observed to be in inaccessible areas. Licensee has stated that there are no firearms and one (1) dog in the home.
The home has two (2) fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguishers, one (1) in the kitchen and one (1) in the converted garage. One (1) working carbon monoxide detector in the hallway and converted garage. One (1) working smoke detector in the bedroom, the hallway and converted garage. There is one (1) wall heater in the hallway that has been properly covered making it inaccessible to the children in care. There is one (1) horizontal wall heater in the converted garage that has been placed on the wall just below the ceiling, making it inaccessible to the children in care. The home is also equipped with plenty of windows and fans for proper ventilation. The empty pool in the back yard is properly gated and abides by the Title 22 regulations. During LPA’s visit the latch on the fence had been locked.
