25 | On September 24, 2025, at 11:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elimika Woods conducted an unannounced Annual/Random Inspection and met with licensee Lachatte Ryan. LPA disclosed the purpose of the visit and conducted a health and safety inspection of the facility, touring both the interior and exterior. Present during the inspection were the licensee’s two fingerprint cleared assistants, six children in care, consisting of two infants and four preschool-age children. The facility operates Monday to Friday 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
This two story home, rented by the licensee includes four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a living and dining room, kitchen, laundry room, backyard, and a detached two car garage. The home was observed to be clean, orderly, and equipped with proper heating and ventilation to ensure the health and comfort of children in care. The fireplace located in the living room is blocked by an entertainment system to prevent children’s access.
At 11:45 AM, LPA inspected the backyard area and confirmed that no pools, hot tubs, or other bodies of water were present, in compliance with childcare licensing regulations. The outdoor play area is fully fenced and free of defects or dangerous conditions. The play area contains small slides with cushioning underneath to absorb falls, climbing structures, tricycles, as well as age-appropriate play equipment for all children in care. The left side of the yard is off limits to children in care and there's a gate to prevent children access to the garage area.
On-limit-areas include: Living and dining room, Kitchen, laundry room, bedroom ( main play room) and downstairs bathroom (next to the laundry room).
The Isolation area of the home will be the bedroom (main play room), away from other children in care.
Off-limit-areas include: Entire 2nd Floor, Master Bedroom, downstairs bathroom (next to Master Bedroom) and left side of the backyard.
The off-limits will be made inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision.
LPA asked the licensee if children in care are transported. The licensee stated that her driver’s license expired on her birthday and will need to be renewed before she resumes transporting children. LPA also inquired about firearms in the home. The licensee stated there are no firearms or weapons of any kind in the home.
