25 | On 08/08/2024 at 3:00 PM, Licensing Program Analyst(s) Christina Watts and Karecca Sykes conducted an Case Management Inspection at Esther Ocampo Rocha family child care home. Licensee Esther Ocampo Rocha was not present during inspection. LPA's spoke with licensee's daughter, Laura Fierro via telephone call. LPAs informed Laura the reason of the visit. Laura was unable to come to met LPA's at the facility however Laura sent family friend Erika Archundia to allow LPAs in the home. LPAs were granted access to the facility.
LPA's observe the facility and did not see any children being cared for in the facility. LPA's spoke with licensee's daughter and she stated that they have closed the facility temporarily due to revocation of fire clearance. LPA's also informed licensee's daughter that due to lack of completed paperwork, facility was not placed on inactive status. LPA's printed out form LIC 9211 - Request for Inactive Child Care License Status and asked Erika Archundia to sign form for Esther Ocampo. Laura had given Erika permission to sign for licensee, Esther Ocampo Rocha.
As of 08/08/2024, facility has been placed on inactive status. Facility status is valid until 02/08/2025.
LPA's informed both Erika and Laura that facility can choose when to be taken off inactive status to start caring for children again. LPA's also informed Erika and Laura that Esther would have to contact licensing prior to caring for children.
During today's inspection, there were no violations observed.
