25 | On 05/16/2024 at 12:30 PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), A. Curry arrived at the home to conduct an annual continuation visit. LPA met with the Licensee, Tobias Riday-White, to explain the purpose of today's visit. LPA toured the facility and reviewed staff and children's files. The facility has a dual smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector that meets statutory requirements. During the inspection, the LPA verified the cactus in the backyard is barricaded and made inaccessible to children in care.
AB1207 Mandated Child Abuse Reporting – On or before March 30, 2018 any person who works in a child care facility shall complete the training and renew the training every 2 years. Website provided: https://www.mandatedreporterca.com/training. The licensee completed the training on May 06, 2024.
LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
Licensee was advised to check on sleeping infants every 15 minutes and log each time.
No deficiencies are being cited today.
