25 | On September 8, 2022 at 9:23am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Indira Loza arrived announced on a pre-licensing inspection and met with Applicants Corina Sanchez and Maynor Tabora. Living in the home are the applicants and their pet dog. There are no children in care during todays inspection. The purpose of the inspection was to grant a license for a small family daycare and to conduct a health and safety check. Operating hours will be 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday.
The home is an apartment with one bedroom, one bathroom, a living room, kitchen, and dining room. There are two exits to the home. The living room is downstairs from the first entryway to the home, which will be the play/nap room. All other rooms in the home are upstairs. The on limit areas will be the living room, the dining room, and the bathroom. The off limit areas will be the Applicant's bedroom which has the second exit and is to the left when going up the stairs, which will off limits by closed and/or locked doors or visual supervision. The ISOLATION AREA will be the dining room. The outdoor play area will be at the park. There are no pools, hot tubs or any other bodies of water during today's inspection. All hazardous materials and toxins are kept out of the reach of children.
There was a working smoke and carbon monoxide detector in the kitchen. Applicant has a working telephone. The applicant's CPR and First Aid certificate is current and expires on May 2024. Per Licensee, there are no firearms in the home. Applicant has a current Mandated Reporter certificate which expires on April 2024. There was a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher in the kitchen. The Applicants plan on serving the children breakfast and snack, the children will bring their own lunch.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00
