25 | On 08/13/2024 at 12:18am Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Mario Caro and Julia Placencia met with Licensee Louisa Padilla for an Unannounced Required Annual Inspection and also to determine if the facility is ready for an increase of capacity, explained the purpose of the visit, and were granted entry into the home. LPAs toured the home for a health and safety inspection. Present during the inspection were Licensee, her adult son Santiago, and five preschool age children. Residing in the home were Licensee, and her adult son Santiago. The facility’s operating hours are 7:00am to 8:00pm. All required postings are posted on her parent board.
The home is a one story home which consist of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, dining room, laundry room,living room, garage, and backyard. The inside and outside of the home were observed to be neat, clean with age-appropriate materials, furnishings, books, learning materials, and toys for the children. The home has central heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. All toxins, cleaning products, medications, and hazardous materials were observed to be in areas inaccessible to children, however the cabinets were not properly locked. There were no baby walkers, jumpers observed during inspection. There is no fireplace in the home. LPAs observed a fully charged fire extinguisher 2A-10-BC that meets State Fire Marshal standards and working smoke/carbon monoxide detectors. There are no pets in the home. LPAs reviewed a current Children Roster, and Emergency Disaster Plan LIC610A. Last fire/disaster drill was completed on 07-26-2024. Licensee provides snacks and cooks food for the children. Food storage area was observed to be sanitary. During today’s inspection, Licensee has stated that there are no firearms in the home.
