25 | On 09/27/2023 at 3:30 PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Diana Campos conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection at Megan Walker's day care home for a CAPACITY INCREASE to a Large Family Childcare Home. Fire clearance was granted on on 9/27/23 and states garage and basement will be off limits. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM.
Present in the home were Licensee, her spouse, their minor daughter, one assistant and 3 infants in care. Facility is in ratio compliance today. Licensee wants to add the recently renovated areas of the back yard for day care use. LPA inspected the back backyard and granted approval for use effective today.
ON LIMTS: Living room, Dining area, kitchen, bathroom and laundry room (used as walk way to the back yard).
OFF LIMITS: Both bedrooms, basement, garage, and the outdoor storage shed.
OUTDOOR AREAS: Children use the far end backyard for outdoor activity. They walk through the pathway between the house and the chicken coupe area into the play yard. The yard is fenced on all sides. No bodies of water were observed during today's inspection. Storage shed is locked.
Children and Licensee files were reviewed. Licensee's CPR/First Aid certification and Mandated Reporter training is current. LPA reviewed large family home ratios and assistant requirements. If no assistant provider is present at a Large Family Child Care Home, then the licensee shall comply with the capacity requirements for a Small Family Child Care Home.
Facility is approved for Capacity Increase pending receipt of hard copy of the LIC850. Exit interview was conducted with Licensee, Megan Walker.
