25 | On 05/08/2025, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), A. Hollinger and K. Sykes, conducted a Case Management - Licensee initiated inspection. Licensee has applied for a capacity increase from a small FCCH (max CAP 8) to a Large FCCH (max CAP 12 OR 14). Present during today's inspection were licensee, her assistant and 5 children in care consisting of 3 toddlers and 2 preschool age children. Facility is in ratio today. The home was toured with the licensee to conduct a health and safety inspection. Hours of operation for day care are Monday through Friday, 7:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
Community Care Licensing (CCL) has received an approved fire clearance on 04/22/2025.
The home is a single story home with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 half bathroom, living room, dining room, changing room, backyard which is neat and clean with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort.
The ON LIMIT areas: the living room, dining area, kitchen, changing room, 1 half bathroom, the right side of the backyard (play area).
OFF-LIMIT areas: 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, the left side of backyard, right side yard where the pond is located and the left side yard.
The ISOLATION AREA will be in the changing area away from other children in care.
The outdoor play area is free from defects or dangerous conditions. There are ample age-appropriate toys that are safe, clean, and in good repair. The Licensee states that they only use the kitchen as a walkway to access the backyard with 100% supervision. During today's inspection, the LPAs observed floor heater vents which is not hot to the touch. During today's inspection, there is 12 inches deep pond, which is fenced and were made inaccessible to children. The LPAs did not observe any hazardous materials or toxins accessible to children. There is a fireplace in the living room that is blocked to prevent children's access.
