25 | On 04/08/2022 approximately at 12:30PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kelly Phan arrived at for an unannounced required inspection, and met with Licensee(s) Bitan Nandi Bitswas and Bitasta Nandi. Present for this inspection was 11 preschoolers along with a fingerprinted and associated staff member. per licensee, she has a young daughter who is 14 years old. The home was toured with the licensee to conduct a health and safety inspection. Hours of operation for day care are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 6:00pm.
ON LIMITS: living/play room, hallway bathroom, full backyard, bedroom #1 (study room), and bedroom #2 (sleeping room for children also used as isolation area)
OFF LIMITS: garage, fenced right side yard that has swing set, kitchen, master bedroom and bathroom. Off limit areas are inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors, gates, and visual supervision.
The home is single story, which is neat and clean, with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. A child safety gate is being used at the kitchen as the Licensee is using a gate to keep children in the living/play room area. There were ample age appropriate toys that were observed to be safe and in good condition in the playroom. At 12:40PM, LPA toured the outdoor area and found a bicycle that has a missing wheel and a piece of the fence that is broken. LPA informs licensee to store the bicycle away and ensure the fence is fixed to prevent any children from playing near or on it; LPA informs licensee to have full visual supervision of children in this area. Toxins, medicines, and hazardous items were inaccessible during today's inspection. There were a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher, with a dual carbon monoxide and smoke detector, along with a working telephone. Per licensee, there are no firearms or pets or any bodies of water or fireplace in the home. The licensee conducts and documents fire drill log indicates a drill was conducted 09/28/21. All required licensing documents are posted and visible for public review.
