25 | On 05/24/2022 at 11:00AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kelly Phan met with licensee Marina Nechayeva for an unannounced CASE MANAGEMENT inspection for an INCREASE OF CAPACITY to a large family childcare home. Present for the inspection were licensee, licensee's 12 years old son, and 6 preschool aged children. Hours of operation is Monday to Friday, 8AM to 6PM. The home was toured with the licensee to conduct a health and safety inspection.
At 11:05AM, LPA toured the on-limits area of the home (bedroom #1 (for sleeping), bedroom #2 (across from bedroom #1), dining room, living room (main day care room), hallway bathroom, and fenced backyard. The OFF LIMIT areas are the garage, kitchen, outside shed, bedroom #3, bedroom #4 (master bedroom), and bathroom #2 (master bathroom). The home has an acceptable amount of space, number of toys and furnishings that are neat, clean and age appropriate. The home is equipped with a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher, working dual smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector, and telephone. Per licensee there are no firearms on the premises. There are no pools, hot tubs, or other bodies of water at the home. At 11:44AM, LPA observed a bottle of Pine Sol cleaning solution inside the sliding cabinet door located in the dining area where children in care eat their meals. LPA informs licensee to move the cleaning solution to an inaccessible area or obtain child safety locks on the door so it cannot be open by the children. a Technical Violation was issued and explained to licensee that sliding doors would need to have locks on it to prevent any access. Licensee stated that she would move it into the garage, LPA observed it moved to the garage today. Licensee was also reminded to not have any toys or blankets inside the playpens.
Licensee has current CPR and First Aid training which expires on 02/12/2024, Mandated reporter training was completed on 11/22/2021. Licensee was reminded that CPR and First aid training and mandated reporter training would need to be renew every two years.
