25 | On 05/24/2022 at 11:00AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kelly Phan met with licensee Marina Nechayeva for an unannounced CASE MANAGEMENT inspection to add an OFF limit area to be apart of her day care. Present for the inspection were licensee, licensee's 12 years old son, and 6 preschool aged children. Hours of operation is Monday to Friday, 8AM to 6PM. The home was toured with the licensee to conduct a health and safety inspection.
At 12:50PM, LPA toured the outdoor area with licensee. Licensee stated that she is planning to open up her fenced backyard area for additional children to play as she has been approved for her large family child care home license. Also, she had mentioned that she has already completed some construction work such as adding cement. LPA informs licensee to notify the Department before any alternations can be made to the facility. Licensee understood. LPA went ahead and inspected the area and found it to be safe for children in care, and states that there would need to be an additional person to assist her during outdoor activities such as any water activities. Licensee states she always maintains fully visual supervision at her facility. The outdoor shed is still OFF to ON limit to children; per licensee, she would sometimes bring the children outside to look at plants as a "learning experience or field trip" supervised by the licensee.
Exit interview was conducted and report was provided to licensee Nechayeva. This report needs to be on file for 3 years. a notice of site visit was provided and must be posted for 30 days.
