25 | On October 24, 2022, at 2:15 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elimika Woods met with licensee Yasmin Nazir for an Unannounced Required 1 Year Inspection. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the licensee. Present during the inspection was the licensee's fingerprint cleared husband, W. Nazir, and five (5) preschool age children. Licensee stated that the facility operates from Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
LPA toured the facility to conduct a Health and Safety inspection. This two story home was clean and orderly, with heating and ventilation for the safety and comfort of children in care. The Isolation area will be a section of the family room, away from other children in care.
On- Limit areas are the: Family room, kitchen, backyard and downstairs bathroom
Off- Limit areas are the: Entire second level of home, garage, living and dining room, upper patio deck and stairs
The off-limits are will be made inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision. There are no pools, hot tubs or any other bodies of water present in the on-limit areas during today's inspection. LPA did not observe any hazardous materials or toxins accessible to children during today’s inspection. There are ample age appropriate toys that appear to be safe and in good condition. There's a gate at the bottom level of the deck to prevent children access to the upper level of the deck in the backyard and a gate at the bottom of the stairs in the living room.
The home has a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, working smoke detector, working carbon monoxide detector, first aid kit, and telephone. There's a fireplace in the family room that has a barrier to prevent children access. Per licensee, there are no firearms in the home. The licensee is in compliance with the immunization laws which pertains to all childcare providers.
