On 09/06/2022 approximately 11:10AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kelly Phan met with licensee Sneha Malhotra for an unannounced CASE MANAGEMENT inspection for an INCREASE OF CAPACITY to a large family childcare home. Present for the inspection were licensee and 5 day care preschool aged children and 1 preschool child who belongs to the licensee were present for the inspection. The home was toured to conduct a health and safety inspection; hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8:30AM to 5:30PM.

The fire clearance for the increase of capacity was received and approved on 08/25/2022

At 11:15AM, LPA toured the on-limits area of the home (dining area, living room, and hallway bathroom) and backyard; OFF limit areas are the kitchen, garage, all three bedrooms, bathroom #2, outdoor shed, shaded area, and left side yard. Licensee is using child safety knobs and gates to prevent access to OFF limit areas. The home has an acceptable amount of space, number of toys and furnishings that are neat, clean and age appropriate. The home is equipped with a 3A40 BC fire extinguisher, working smoke detector, and working carbon monoxide detector. There is a working telephone in the home.
