25 | On 09/23/2022 approximately at 8:40AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kelly Phan arrived at for an unannounced required inspection, and met with Licensee Pranitha. Present for this inspection was 3 infants and 7 preschoolers along with the licensee's fingerprinted and associated husband. Also residing in the home are their two school aged children (11 and 8). The home was toured with the licensee to conduct a health and safety inspection. Hours of operation for day care are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm.
ON LIMITS: bathroom #1, fenced front and back yard, living room, family room, kitchen, master bedroom (isolation area), master bathroom, and first right sided bedroom across from bathroom #1 (for sleeping)
OFF LIMITS: garage, outdoor shed, back corner bedroom, and right side yard. Off limit areas are inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision.
The home is single story, which is neat and clean, with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. At 8:45AM, LPA verified with licensee who resides at the home and if there were any helpers. Licensee states that she had two helpers, however one had quit and other helper has been working with her since last year. LPA verified with licensee and on Guardian that her helper does not have eligible clearance; however she is not present today. LPA suggests licensee to follow up with Guardian and her helper on what steps are needed to obtain clearance. Licensee understood that a maximum of $500.00 will be assessed if her helper is present without an eligible background clearance. There were ample age appropriate toys that were observed to be safe and in good condition. Toxins, medicines, and hazardous items were inaccessible during today's inspection. There is a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher, working carbon monoxide, smoke detectors, and telephone. The home does not have a fireplace as there is central heating. Per licensee, there are no firearms or pets or any bodies of water in the home. The licensee conducts and documents fire and earthquake drills indicating a drill was conducted on 07/11/22 and 08/08/2022. All required licensing documents are posted and visible for public review.
