25 | On 9/4/2024 at 10:15am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Morgan Pringle met with Licensee Shirali Patel for an announced case management inspection. Licensee has requested to reactivate the facility license. Present during the inspection was the Licensee, and her mother-in-law. Licensee lives in the home with her husband, their two (2) minor children and her in-laws. Licensee’s home was toured for a health and safety inspection. The facility will operate from 8:30am – 5:30pm, Monday – Friday.
ON LIMITS AREA: Two (2) living rooms, dining area, hallway bathroom, kitchen, and backyard
OFF LIMITS AREA: Primary bedroom and attached bathroom, three (3) additional bedrooms, office (by the front door), laundry room and garage
ISOLATION AREA: Living room
The facility is a single-story home owned by the Licensee. The inside of the home was observed to be neat, clean with ample age-appropriate materials for the children’s learning and play. All toxins, cleaning products, and hazardous materials were observed to be in inaccessible areas. Licensee will be providing all food for the children which was observed to be properly maintained and stored. All food that may be brought from the children’s home will be properly labeled and stored. All off-limit areas in the home are made inaccessible with locks, gates, and closed doors. Licensee stated she will not transport children, there are no firearms in the home, and there are no pets in the home.
There is one (1) fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher by the front door. There is one (1) working smoke/carbon monoxide detector by the front door and in the hallway by the laundry room door. The fireplace in the living room by the front door has been gated as well. The home is equipped with central heat and air for proper ventilation. |
