25 | On April 20th, 2022 at 9:30am, Licensing Program Analysts April Wright and Briana Plumboy, met with applicant Sarala Tandra, for an announced pre licensing visit to conduct a health and safety inspection. Present during today's inspection was the applicants fingerprint and cleared husband Sehkar Tammineni. Hours of operation will be Monday to Friday between 8AM to 6PM.
The applicants home is a single story home that is neat and clean with heating and ventilation to provide safety and comfort . The home has a 3 A40 BC fire extinguisher and have functioning carbon monoxide and smoke detectors. Applicant Tandra previously provided documents to show ownership of the property.
On Limits: The areas of the day care will consist of Day-care room, bathroom, living/dining room and backyard. Walk way from living to dining room will be used to the backyard.
Off Limits: 3 bedrooms, laundry room, garage and 2 bathrooms.
The backyard play area is fenced. There are age appropriate new toys for the children to utilize. There are no pools, hot tubs or any other bodies of water on the premises. Per licensee, there are no pets or firearm present at the home. All hazardous materials and toxins are out of the reach of children by installed safety locks on the cabinets and drawers.
Applicant's Preventive Health and Safety training was completed on 12/5/2021 and CPR/First Aid certificates are current and will expire on 4/9/2022. Applicant completed the Mandated Reporter training on 1/5/2022 and the applicants are following immunization law as it pertains to all day-care providers. A packet of forms pertaining to the children’s files and facility files were reviewed and discussed. LPA Wright discussed the Safe Sleep practices and regulations with applicant.
LPA Wright reminded the applicant of the following; Mandated Reporter training is to be renewed every two years, CPR/First Aid is also renewed every two years. Baby bouncers & drop-down cribs are not allowed at the day-care facility. LPA discussed Unusual Incidents Reports.
The applicant is also reminded that any structural changes to the home or additions to the child care facility must be reported to Community Care Licensing. LPA Wright provided a copy of Safe Sleep-in Child-Care brochure, a handout "What Does A Safe Sleep Environment Look Like?" and a copy of the new California Car Seat Law Changes.
