25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jyoti Saini met with Licensee Sun Xiaoping for a CASE MANAGEMENT VISIT - INCREASE IN CAPACITY. During this inspection, the Licensee and helper were supervising four (4) children. The Licensee resides in the house with her husband. The double-story house consists of three bedrooms, including the Master bedroom, two bathrooms, a family room, a living room, a kitchen, a dining room, laundry, a backyard, and a garage. Licensee operates Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The facility has approved fire clearance from the Dublin Fire Prevention with the condition that the second story and garage are off-limits. The Licensee primarily speaks Mandarin. During the inspection, the helper Fangfei Liu helped translate.
ON LIMIT AREAS: are the family room( main daycare), bathroom #1 (downstairs), dining area, fenced area of the backyard, and living room ( walk through to the backyard only)
OFF LIMIT AREAS: entire second floor, laundry room( downstairs), living room, kitchen, and garage.
The home has a working telephone, a smoke and carbon monoxide detector, and a fire extinguisher meeting the minimum requirements. During today's inspection, no bodies of water were in the daycare area. The Licensee states there are no guns or weapons in the home. There are no pets in the house. The outdoor play area is fenced and is free from defects and dangerous conditions.
Staff-children ratios were discussed with the Licensee for a Large Family Childcare Home (FCCH). If there is no helper, the Licensee will need to operate within the small FCCH in regard to ratios. If care is provided to the 7th and 8th child for a Small FCCH or the 13th and 14th child for a Large FCCH, the last two children must be school-aged (6 years old).
Licensees are reminded that walkers, exersaucer, jumpers, bouncers, and similar items may not be used for children in care and shall be made inaccessible.
